The Journey of EWC Technologies
Sep 6, 2019
The journey of EWC Technologies starts from humble beginnings with a few coworkers in a basement to a small start-up company with big innovative ideas. In 2015, Nino Vanich, CEO of EWC Technologies, and a few coworkers formed their business after tireless hours of listening to customers comment about the old computer products their original employers’ company sold. Vanich and his coworkers received emails and calls from customers stating that they were fed up and taking their business elsewhere. The group made the decision they, too, wanted to be elsewhere. They left the company and formed EWC or ElseWhere Computing Technologies.
New and Innovative NUCs
EWC Technologies strives to always be a provider of the newest technologies and latest innovations in the vast world of computers. They hit the nail on the head when they introduced the compact, customizable Next Unit of Computing (NUC) powered by Intel and Power over Ethernet (PoE) capabilities. The Intel NUC solutions are designed for businesses as well as individuals and are perfect for entertainment, healthcare, construction, government, education, gaming, video surveillance, fleet vehicles, and so much more.
The customizability, size, and power of the NUCs set EWC Technologies apart from the competition. Customers can choose the amount of RAM, storage space, and operating system that they desire. Power over Ethernet (PoE) means no more power cords and no need to be close to a power outlet. NUCs draw their electrical energy straight from the ethernet cable, hence the name ‘Power over Ethernet (PoE)’.
Being able to partner with Intel is a game-changer for the small start-up company. With Intel being a well-known player in the industry, the union made sense for EWC Technologies. Intel processors, a name people trust, adds reliable power and a great reputation to the small business’s efforts. Intel partnering with EWC Technologies means they see the vast potential applications for NUC computers and Power over Ethernet (PoE) technology within the Internet of Things (IoT). It seems a sure bet that NUCs are the future of computers and will power and propel businesses to great heights.
Power over Ethernet and the Internet of Things
As mentioned earlier, NUCs are designed to be a part of the Internet of Things (IoT). This means that a customized NUC unit can be connected to support complex machinery. Multiple NUC computers can send information back to a central point in which a single worker can monitor multiple NUCs at once. This Internet of Things (IoT) capability helps make the NUC one of the most innovative technologies available and a perfect option for businesses that operate in sectors like healthcare, production, and more. The benefits of Internet of Things (IoT) include real-time data, remotely-monitored control, and digital integration.
